The FAB Model 1910 Glisenti is a 9mm semi-automatic service pistol produced by the Italian company Società Siderurgica Glisenti. It was developed in 1910 to replace the Bodeo Model 1889 and was used by the Royal Italian Army in both World War I and World War II. The Model 1910 was designed by Italian inventor Bethel Abiel Revelli and was originally designed to fire a 7.65mm bottle-neck cartridge. However, it was later modified to fire a 9mm Glisenti cartridge due to the pistol’s weak firing system. The Model 1910 operates through a locked breech and fires cartridges with reduced velocity compared to the 9mm Parabellum. However, it was prone to looseness after prolonged firing due to its weak design. The only safety feature on the pistol was a small lever in front of the grip.

-17%Offered here is a FAB Model 1910 Glisenti Italian army 9mm service pistol with a 4 inch barrel. Astoundingly, this pistol has the serial number “1910” marked on the right side frame, and “1910 L” marked on the front frame under the barrel. 90% of the original blue finish remains, and the takedown lever, bolt, and trigger are nickel plated. The bore shows some corrosion, but is very good overall with nice rifling. All action mechanisms are in very good working condition. Original two piece checkered walnut grips are quite nice, with no chips or cracks. The included nickeled magazine appears original, but is not numbered. Don’t miss this chance to own a rare Glistenti with the serial number matching the model!
