Before the Treaty of Versailles, German factories were only allowed to make “sporter” rifles. Therefore, some factories made these shotguns with military parts and machines for export. Similar models are marked “Geha” or “Hard-hit Heart”.

-7%Offered here is a German export Remo II bolt action 16 gauge shotgun based on a K98 small-ring action, with a bent bolt, and with a 25-inch barrel. Serial number “1246” is marked across the gun. The left side of the gun is marked “Germany” for export, “REMO II Cal 16 / D.R.P.a” – the last part indicates that a patent is pending. The barrel is marked “nitro”. 85% of the original blue finish remains. The smooth bore is excellent, and all action mechanisms are similarly excellent. The hardwood stock is quite nice, with no major chips or cracks, and only a few handling marks.
